The Langstreckenmeisterschaft endurance race series at the Nürburgring opens its 9th season on 21 October. But this time, Team FALKEN will be entering the battle for the Münsterland trophy with rather a different look. The FALKEN Porsche and FALKEN BMW will be finished in unique designs especially for the occasion. The new looks were created by the digital art skills of motorsports fans, and chosen by the brand's Facebook community out of the entries sent in to the Design Challenge competition. The fan competition was the final event in the “Falken Battles" between Team Falken Porsche and Team Falken BMW, which began with the Drivers' Challenges in the spring and culminated at the 24h-Race on Nürburgring when the BMW finished among the top ten. “The entries for our Design Challenge were all extremely professional, and created with genuine passion. We were delighted at the designs, and are really looking forward to sending the cars out onto the track in the winning looks", says Stephan Cimbal, Head of Marketing bei Falken Tyre Europe. The outstanding winners have certainly secured pole position for their favourite team's cars – at least, as far as the spectators' attention is concerned! In Dirk Hinzmann's design, the route of the legendary Nordschleife track curves over the Falken Porsche 911 GT3 R, combining a classic visual feature with the legendary teal and blue Falken colours. The fan community chose Saunas Ramoska's design for the FALKEN BMW M6 GT3, a collage of graphic elements from the Falken 'toolbox' that expresses explosive dynamism, agility and power. Saunas Ramoska and Dirk Hinzmann have been invited to attend the race weekend as FALKEN's VIP guests and will be watching as “their" cars take to the racetrack.
